Why 42 Pressed? 42 Colors?

Lots of people, esp retailers, think 42 Pressed is named 42 Pressed because our color palette consists of 42 colors. First off, we have 48 colors, not 42 colors, but I can completely see from first glance that it might look like 42 colors, so that must be why we named our company 42 Pressed! But cmon! I hope we get a little bit more creative credit than that!

So why, really, is our company named 42 Pressed? We get this question all the time, so I am here to clear up the confusion! Jackie Hall, was my maiden name, I married my love, Tyler Robinson, and became Jackie Robinson, aka the first black baseball player to grace MLB. 42, was Jackie Robinson’s baseball number, hence, 42 Pressed! I was a huge athlete in college, so sports pretty much came naturally to me, and so did the name. I was blessed with the athletic gene as well as the artsy gene. Have always loved that I have both! So that is how 42 Pressed came to be! Now you know! xo
