Sometimes it is good to feel and touch our wedding invitations before you go ahead and order from us, this is a great way to check out the quality and the craftmanship of our letterpress lovlies!
WE ARE HERE TO HELP, SO GIVE US A RING!
We will walk you through the design process step by step and how everything works. It might seem pretty complicated and intimidating, but really, once we break it all down, it's actually pretty simple! A lot of people don't know about how letterpress works, we didn't either before we started, so we are so excited when we can answer ANY questions you might have about the process. Don't worry, we are super nice and helpful, you'll see!
PLACE YOUR ORDER
You can either call us, email us, or you can fill out this out this order form and email it to us to get the process started. Here are a few basic things to start thinking about before you contact us: How many pieces would you like to order (quantities) and which ones (i.e. save the date, thank you, programs, seating cards etc.)? Every invitation suite from our collections comes with a invitation, rsvp and printed envelopes. How many colors would you like printed, and which ones? You can choose from the 42 Pressed color palette. To the right, under resources, you can find our price sheet here for both collections, wedding and baby, with additional pricing for add-ons and envelopes.
PROOF PROCESS
After we go over all your information and your wishes for design, we will then issue an electronic adobe PDF that you will peruse for design aesthetics and errors. Please be sure to read over everything for errors TWICE OVER, even third over i.e. places, addresses, names, dates, times etc. Once you have proofed everything, and everything is perfect, you must check the little approval box located on the bottom of your proof. At this point, you can either fax or scan the signed proof back to us.
Once the first proof is received, you have one additional proof at no cost (if needed), any other additional proofs will be $100 each. Please note that any errors made on your part after the final proof is signed and checked, 42 Pressed is not responsible for and no refunds will be issued. Please refer to our cancellation process below.
PRINTING
We then get your photopolymer plates burned, cut your paper, gather all your envelopes and then schedule you for printing. We will then print your order out with obsessive detail to ensure that you have the highest quality letterpress piece you can find! We ship UPS to you, but a signature is required in order to deliver, so just keep that in mind when you give us your shipping address. We will add the cost of shipping when we run your final payment at the end of the process.
ENVELOPES
At no additional charge, we will include a few extra envelopes with your custom order, just in case you missed some people! If you need your envelopes in a hurry, all envelopes can be shipped in advanced for $100.
TURN AROUND
For our wedding and baby collection, once you place your order and we receive your deposit, you can expect to receive your order in three to four weeks after the signed proof approval. For stationery, you can plan to receive your order within two weeks after you placed it. If you need your order in a hurry, let us know, there will be a 50% up charge for rush orders.
MINIMUM ORDER
We only have a minimum order of 30 on our wedding and baby announcement collections. Other than that, please order however many pieces your heart desires in increments of 25.
CANCELLATION PROCESS
If you have to cancel before the final proof has been signed off, we will charge $200, however, if it is after final proof approval, you will be charged in full. Please understand, due to the nature of our personalized, letterpressed product, we obviously cannot accept returns. We make every effort to ensure that each letterpressed piece is proofed, re-proofed and shipped snuggly, so that no damages occur during printing and/or shipping. Any errors caused by our own doing we will be happy to correct at no cost if you. However, please keep in mind that any major changes to your design order, after the sign off of the final proof, will delay your arrival of your pieces and will increase your final costs significantly.
PAYMENT
A 50% deposit is required before we start any design work or any proofs are issued. We accept all major credit cards over the phone. We also accept personal checks or money orders through the post. Once you have approved your final proof and the suite is perfect, you will receive an invoice containing the remainder of your balance and any other extra charges you might have incurred during the ordering process. Please note that the final payment must be received before we can release your letterpress lovies for shipment.
SALES TAX
We are required to charge 6% sales tax to orders only shipped to a Florida state address. Orders shipped outside of Florida are not charged sales tax.
YOUR PERSONAL TOUCH WITH ODDS AND ENDS
If you are a tissue kind-of-girl, or an inner/outer envelope kind-of-chap, please let us know as these items are not something that we provide. If you would like to customize some extra pieces to go along with your invitation suite like extra envelopes, menus, programs, seating cards, rehearsal dinner invites, favors, maps to your reception or ceremony, etc. just let us know! We would love to help with any/all of these!
Also think about details, like a cool string to tie everything together, or a neat canvas belly band that bundles everything in place, all these things we can do. With some of our collections, we mostly wrap our stuff with a natural canvas band, that we can print directly on, so any color or design you have in mind, we can certainly do or create one for you. Keep in mind, sometimes the little details really can make a wedding special and stand out from the rest. It’s your vision, and it’s our job to make that happen!
LETTERPRESS AND ITS NATURE
No two pieces are exactly alike. Letterpress is done with many handmade materials, so each press run can produce slightly different results. Also, please keep in mind that we hand mix all our inks, so color can vary slightly from run to run. Letterpress definitely has a hand-made feel to it, which makes every piece individual and lovely. We ask you to please keep this is mind when you are ordering.
CORPORATE PRINTING AND OTHER FUN STUFF
42 Pressed is not just limited to wedding, baby and stationery. We really love to print posters, business cards, a special greeting card you might have in mind, a particular party invitation, really anything letterpress we would be delighted to help you out with. SO, feel free to contact us about this, and we will work closely with you to produce a piece that you or your company will love! Please keep in mind our turn around time for designing and printing is four weeks, let us know if you need something sooner, and we will do our best to help!
